Guidelines

We are currently accepting submissions. If you would like us to consider your work for representation then please post us the following, marking the envelope ‘Submissions Department’:

• A covering letter giving an outline of of your writing history. For example, tell us about any previously published work, be it a short story or journalism. You may be studying or have completed a post-graduate qualification in creative writing. For non-fiction, we would want to know what qualifies you to write about the subject.
• A synopsis of your work, approximately 500 words long 
• The first three chapters of your work
• Your email address and/or telephone number

Please note that we will only get in contact with you if we wish to pursue your submission further. Under normal circumstances this will be within six weeks of receiving your submission. Please do not contact our office to check on the status of your submission as, due to the quantity of submissions sent to us, we do not keep records of work received.

Please note that we are not able to return submissions so please be sure to keep an original copy of your work. Capel & Land cannot accept responsibility for any material sent to us.
