Dundee-born Eddie Mair’s radio presenting has encompassed the Hong Kong hand-over and the last US Presidential Elections, which he covered live from Washington, together with broadcasts from Australia, South Africa, Boston San Francisco and Berlin. He is the presenter of BBC Radio 4 network’s flagship programme PM.
Eddie presented BBC Radio 4’s ‘Broadcasting House’, the news and current affairs show from the same stable as ‘The World at One’, from 1998. In November 2003 Eddie decided to call it a day and reclaim his weekend, until then it was the UK’s number one rated Sunday morning news programme – on radio or TV.
Eddie also occasionally writes The Diary for The Guardian newspaper, appearing every week on Wednesday.
