David Ian

David Ian has produced theatre shows all over the world. His credits include: Grease, Saturday Night Fever, The King and I, West Side Story, Singin’ in the Rain, Anything Goes, The Producers, Guys and Dolls, The Sound of Music, La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Charity, Flashdance, Gypsy, The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess, Rocky Horror Show, Cats, Chicago, Dr Dolittle and Starlight Express. His current show is The Bodyguard based on the famous movie starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner – it opened at the Adelphi Theatre, London in December 2012.
David was a key judge on BBC1’s very first casting by TV series How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? in 2005. This was followed in 2006 by Grease: You’re the One That I Want for NBC in America and then in 2007 ITV’s version Grease is the Word. David was the lead judge on both.
