David M Anderson is a University Lecturer in African Politics, University of Oxford, and a Fellow of St Cross, Oxford.  He has been visiting Lecturer at All Souls College, Oxford, Director of the Centre for African Studies at the University of London, and a Research Associate at the University of Nairobi.

 

David Anderson is the author of several books about the history of Kenya and Africa.  His HISTORIES OF THE HANGED: BRITAIN'S DIRTY WAR IN KENYA AND THE END OF THE EMPIRE was published simultaneously in the UK (Weidenfeld & Nicolson) and the USA in January 2005.    David is currently working on RED CONTINENT: THE COLD WAR IN AFRICA for delivery to Faber and in the UK and W.W. Norton in the US.
