Elysaar Khoury has been on the move since childhood, living and travelling in various parts of the Middle East and the US, and more recently in Japan and the UK.

 

Elysaar got her BA in English from Cornell University where she also studied Japanese, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  For a year in between the two, she studied Arabic and Japanese at SOAS in London.

 

Her first book, THE EMBASSY ON THE BANKS OF THE STYX, is an urban fantasy adventure, exploring the clashes and unexpected harmonies which spring from the interaction of different cultures on a new world colonized by the denizens of Earth’s myths, legends and fairy stories.
