Nirpal Singh Dhaliwal
Born in 1974, Nirpal was raised in west London. After studying English and American Studies at Nottingham University, he worked briefly for the BBC as a radio journalist before having his first novel, TOURISM – described as 'sexy, shocking and touched with genius' – published in 2006. As well as having been a reviewer and columnist for the Evening Standard, his journalism has appeared in The Times, Sunday Times, The Guardian, Observer, Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. In India, he has written for Tehelka, India Today and Mail Today. Nirpal writes on a variety of subjects including sex, Bollywood, literature, international relations and whether Londoners should support Manchester United in a Champions League final.
