Rachel Campbell-Johnston
Rachel Campbell-Johnston was appointed chief art critic of The Times in March 2002.
She is also The Times poetry critic. In the six years since she joined The Times, she has also been a leader writer, deputy comment editor, obituary writer and deputy books editor. She has a PhD in English Literature and lives in London and in Norfolk with her family and her flock of sheep.
MYSTERIOUS WISDOM: THE LIFE AND WORK OF SAMUEL PALMER, published by Bloomsbury in June 2011, is the first biography of the Romantic artist and visionary, Samuel Palmer for over thirty-five years.
THE CHILD'S ELEPHANT is Rachel's debut novel. It will be published later this year by David Fickling Books.
