Sarah O’Reilly was born in London and educated at St Paul’s Girls’ School and Merton College, Oxford, where she read English. In 2006 she became the youngest ever winner of the PFD Life-Writing Prize which she was awarded whilst studying for an MA in Biographical Studies at the University of East Anglia.
Sarah began her career working in television, as a researcher on The Jonathan Dimbleby Programme, before moving into publishing, first as the deputy fiction editor of Prospect magazine, and latterly as an assistant editor at HarperCollins. She is now a freelance writer and interviewer and working on her first book.
