Andrew Brown is a freelance journalist who writes extensively for The Guardian, The Independent and The Daily Mail. He is the author of three highly acclaimed books: WATCHING THE DETECTIVES (Hodder and Stoughton) – on the Metropolitan Police; THE DARWIN WARS (Simon and Schuster) – about the feuds and in fighting which have riven the field of evolutionary theory and IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORM (Simon and Schuster) – finding the secrets behind the life of this tiny hermaphrodite.
